Wells are equipped with submersible pumps (immersed engine) or drilling pumps (surface engine). Pumps' construction materials (stainless steel, bronze, cast iron, synthetic materials) are selected depending on water quality.
Rising mains are made in stainless steel, in painted or galvanized steel. They can be flanged or threaded. Independent sleeve pipe systems usually are foreseen for drawdown measurement and/or protection against dry run.
